Hello 👋🏾 I’m Rachael.
After 20 years of leading newsrooms across Africa and the UK, I am now turning my focus to the most consequential story of our time - AI.

The Journovator explores the future of journalism, innovation, and AI through an African lens. Each edition does three things:

First, it tracks AI’s evolution as a story in itself; the breakthroughs, the debates, the pivotal moments shaping this technology.

Second, it examines what these developments mean for Africa, particularly our newsrooms, plus our societies, and our future of work.

Third, it demonstrates AI in action. Every stage of production shows how these tools can work practically and responsibly in real journalism, turning theory into practice.
